Online Therapy in Kentucky
Private, effective online therapy for anxiety, trauma, and perfectionism, available anywhere in Kentucky.
Licensed Kentucky therapist providing secure, HIPAA-compliant online therapy to adults across the state.
If you live in Kentucky and constantly feel tense, self-critical, or worn down, you’re not alone. Many high-achieving adults quietly carry anxiety, trauma responses, or chronic stress without ever feeling like they’re “bad enough” to ask for help.
I provide online therapy in Kentucky for adults who want meaningful change, not just coping strategies.
Who I Work With:
Clients I work with across Kentucky often experience :
Ongoing anxiety or overthinking, even when life looks good on paper
Perfectionism driven by fear rather than motivation
Difficulty relaxing, sleeping, or feeling present
A constant need to stay in control
Frustration that insight hasn’t translated into real change
You may be practical, independent, and used to handling things yourself. Therapy doesn’t replace your strengths, it helps your nervous system reset, so you’re not operating in survival mode all the time.
Why Online Therapy Works:
Online therapy isn’t a second-best option. For many thoughtful, high-functioning adults it’s actually ideal.
Benefits of online counseling include:
Greater consistency & flexibility
Increased privacy & comfort
Real-time application to your daily life
Deeper focus without the stress of commuting
Trauma-informed therapy and EMDR work effectively via telehealth, and many clients find they feel safer and more grounded working from home. For many adults seeking online therapy in Kentucky, telehealth offers flexibility, privacy, and consistency without sacrificing effectiveness.
My approach:
I’m Amanda Parmley, a licensed therapist providing virtual counseling to adults across Kentucky. I specialize in:
Trauma & PTSD (including Complex PTSD)
Anxiety and Chronic Overthinking
Low Self-Esteem & Self-Doubt
Insomnia and CBT-I
EMDR Therapy
Licensure & Telehealth in Kentucky
I am fully licensed in the state of Kentucky (LPCC) and provide online therapy to adults throughout KY. As long as you’re physically located in Kentucky during our sessions, we can work together via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth. Please note that all sessions are booked in Eastern Time.
How I Help:
I use trauma-informed therapy, including EMDR to help your nervous system process what’s keeping you stuck, rather than repeatedly talking around it.
This approach is especially helpful if:
You understand your patterns but can’t seem to change them
Anxiety feels automatic or body-based
You’ve tried therapy before and felt it stayed too suface-level
The work is collaborative, paced carefully, and designed to create lasting relief-not just insight.
A Note About Fit:
This work is a good fit if you’re ready to:
Engage consistently
Explore patterns beneath the surface
Invest in meaningful, long-term change
It may not be the best fit if you’re looking for crisis-only support or quick fixes. My focus is helping clients create stability that lasts.

I work primarily with adults in Kentucky who are high-functioning but struggling internally. Many of my clients deal with anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, trauma responses, or insomnia, even though life may look “fine” on the outside.
