Therapy is an investment in you. When you invest in therapy, you’re investing in your peace of mind, your relationships, and the way you show up in your life. It’s not just about coping with symptoms; it’s about understanding yourself, healing what’s underneath, creating space for something new, and feeling whole again. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, self-doubt, or even insomnia, therapy can help you feel more like yourself again. You deserve support that actually helps you move forward.
Invest in your wellbeing.

Kentucky Therapy Insurance & Payment Options:
I currently accept Aetna insurance in Kentucky and offer private-pay options for all other clients.
Private-pay clients receive a Good Faith Estimate and can request a superbill to submit to their insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
Many clients prefer private pay because it offers:
Greater privacy and flexibility (no diagnosis required, unless requesting a superbill)
The ability to set your own goals and pace
Freedom to work on deeper issues like perfectionism, self-worth, or trauma integration
North Carolina Therapy Insurance & Payment Options:
In North Carolina, I am in-network with:
Aetna (including State Health Plan)
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Cigna / Evernorth
Optum / United Healthcare
MedCost
CBHA
If you’re using insurance, your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your plan’s copay, coinsurance, or deductible. Please verify your benefits before we begin so there are no surprises.
Private-pay options are also available for clients who prefer more flexibility or confidentiality.
Why private pay therapy is worth the investment
Private pay can feel like a big commitment but many clients find that it’s one of the most empowering choices they’ve made. It allows you to:
Focus on what matters most-not just what insurance deems “medically necessary.”
Schedule sessions as needed (not limited by authorization caps).
Keep your information fully confidential and out of insurance databases.
Invest in long-term healing, not just symptom relief.

FAQs
What can I expect during my first session?
The first session will take approximately 50 minutes & is a great opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll discuss your history in depth, what brings you into therapy, and the goals you’d like to set moving forward. Since there is a lot of information to cover, l will take notes during the first session. From there we’ll discuss scheduling & frequency of appointments.
How often will we meet?
Generally, I recommend weekly or biweekly appointments for the first few months. Once you feel ready & sufficient progress has been made, we will begin extending time between sessions.
What are some of the reasons I might consider private pay?
Private pay offers greater privacy, flexibility, and control over your care. When you pay out of pocket, your therapy stays entirely between us, with no diagnostic labels required, and your records aren’t shared with insurance companies. You also gain the freedom to tailor sessions to your unique needs without being limited by what insurance will cover or how many sessions are "allowed." Many clients find that investing directly in their mental health gives them a more personalized, empowering experience.
If I’m traveling outside of my state of residence can we still meet?
Due to licensing restraints, I am only permitted to see clients who are physically located in the following states during our session: NC, SC, & FL. If you travel somewhere else, our session will need to be rescheduled.
How do OON benefits work?
At the end of each session, after payment is collected you will be provided with a superbill. You can then submit this superbill directly to your insurance for possible reimbursement.
What should I ask my insurance provider about OON benefits?
Do I have OON benefits?
Do I have a deductible? If so, has it been met?
How much will I be reimbursed for OON therapy?
Is there a session limit for how many sessions will be covered?
